Caving
Ranger-led cave tours are available at the Lehman Caves Visitor Center, but some wild caving is permitted for those in possession of a permit.
Plan Around Caving
A good stop is not just something to read about. Once it belongs on the day, move into a saved trip and build the route around it.
Use this detail page to confirm that the stop is worth it, then carry that decision into a trip draft while the park context is still fresh.
Caving Details
Ranger-led cave tours are available at the Lehman Caves Visitor Center and tickets and reservations can be made for both of the tours offered there by visiting [this site](http://www.recreation.gov/tourParkDetail.do?contractCode=NRSO&parkId=72495). Same-day reservations are not accepted and tours tend to fill up quickly, especially in the summer. Adult tour prices range from $8-$10 per tour. Tours are available every day except for Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year's Day. If you are looking for a more wild caving experience, Little Muddy, one of the park's 40 wild caves, is open and available for a self-guided caving experience. However, a permit is required to participate in wild caving. Permits must be applied for at least a week in advance and groups entering the caves can have a minimum of three members and a maximum of six. Permit applications can be mailed to: Resource Management Great Basin National Park 100 Great Basin National Park Baker, NV 89311 To learn more about wild caving in Great Basin National Park, check out [this one-sheeter](https://www.nps.gov/grba/planyourvisit/upload/Wild-Cave-Information-and-Permit-Package-4-27-11.pdf) the park put together for future cave-explorers.
