Ranger-Led Events Details
Glacier National Park Rangers guide everything from easy walks to half- and full-day hikes. Most of the campgrounds also host evening ranger-led talks and lectures as well. Illustrated slide programs are offered nightly at Fish Creek Campground Amphitheater, St. Mary Visitor Center, Lake McDonald Lodge, and Many Glacier Hotel. For updates on what programs are offered, the monthly Ranger-led Activities Schedule is available throughout the park and online. Schedules are posted online about three weeks before each program segment begins. Programs start in mid-June and generally conclude at the end of September, but there is a winter snowshoe tour in the Apgar area. These two-hour programs are offered Saturday and Sunday throughout the winter.
