Many Glacier Campground Details
If you want a spot at the Many Glacier Campground, you'll need to get there early. The campground is one of the park's most popular, with spots for tents and RVs, as well as areas that are generator free. The 109 spots are first-come first-served and the eastern side of the campground is especially popular. There is potable water, along with flush toilets and sinks with running water, Ranger-led programs are held nightly in high season. Get supplies at the camp store at the nearby Swiftcurrent Motor Inn. You can also take token operated showers near the inn. Down the road from the campground, you can visit the historic Many Glacier Hotel situated on Swiftcurrent Road. At the hotel you'll finding restaurants, interpretive programs, boat tours, horseback ridingm and shuttle services. The Many Glacier area is home to wildlife like big horn sheep, moose, and bears, as well as some of the park's most popular hikes. The summer season runs from the end of May to the end of September and then primitive camping, without water, is open until the start of November for $10. Glacier is bear country, and black bears and grizzlies can frequent the campground. Food must be properly stored at all times.
