While the park is located in the heart of downtown St. Louis-where cell coverage is generally strong-the interior of the Gateway Arch can disrupt cellular signals due to its towering stainless steel structure. Although surrounding areas boast near-complete coverage from major carriers like AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile, signal strength inside the Arch's observation deck or during the tram ride may be inconsistent or unavailable. This can impact text messaging, mobile data use, and even GPS functionality within the structure. Outside on the park grounds and along the riverfront trails, connectivity is typically reliable, allowing for calls, navigation, and social sharing without issue.
