Wildlife Details
Voyageurs National Park is home to some iconic, large wildlife like the black bear and Eastern Timber Wolf. Red fox, moose, deer, otter, weasels, lynx, fisher, beaver, snowshoe hare, skunk, vole, muskox, bog lemming and coyote also call the park home. Eagles and osprey like to nest in the trees along the lakeshore, while Loons live in the smaller, more isolated coves. In the water, sturgeon, smallmouth bass, perch, pike, walleye and many other fish thrive. The lakes region is also home to many species of frog, toad, salamander, turtle, snake and lizard
