Camp Marston Details
Located in Brown's bay, along the Rainy Lake banks of the Kabetogama Peninsula, this camp was an educational facility for the University of Iowa School of Civil Engineering from 1923 to 1938. Civil Engineering students and professors came here for summer programs, where the isolation and technically challenging topography of the lake provided a strong learning environment. During these summers, the students also helped survey and map many parts of the lake. The Polaris cabin, which housed professors, still stands. You can also see the remnants of the student living facilities, but you wont find any modern facilities here.
