Cruiser Lake Trail Details

This is one of the park's many water-locked hiking trails, which means that it is accessible only by boat. The trailhead is located inside Lost Bay at the eastern tip of Kabetogama Lake. From there, the trail travels a strenuous nine and a half miles up and over the Kabetogama Peninsula, to Andersen Bay, in Rainy Lake. Over the course of the whole trail you will climb up rocky bluffs and down into lowland bogs and wetlands, with beautiful forest and spectacular lake views along the way. This area is also rife with animals, so if you are looking to catch a glimpse of some of the park's larger wildlife, this is the trail to do! In addition to Cruiser Lake, you will pass by Agnes Lake, Brown Lake, Peary Lake and several smaller inland lakes.
