Wildlife Viewing Details
Any wildlife that makes its home in the park has to be quite hearty, first to reach the island and then to remain on it during the harsh winter months. That being said, 19 mammals make their home in the park, including moose, red fox, gray wolves, beavers, mink, river otters and the snowshoe hare, to name a few. Seven species of bats soar through the air, as well as loons, pelicans, woodpeckers and myriad other birds who pass through the area on their migration routes.
