Edisen Fishery Details
Though it's on the National Register of Historic Places, this fishery is still very much in use. The seven buildings that make up the fishery compound are ready for exploring, including a museum, docks, fish house and whaleboat. The sweet story and simple lifestyle of Pete and Laura Edisen are beautifully preserved in the buildings and spirit of the compound. A great activity to do with kids or if you want to experience the remote, clean and beautiful spirit of this area. To access the Edisen Fishery, you need to take a boat out and the boats run on Thursdays and Saturdays, check out the Rock Harbor Visitor Center for more specific information about your visit and boat times.
