Race Point Beach Details

The best part of Race Point Beach is its wide, wide beach -- perfect for sunbathing -- but the riptides that give the beach its name and sand also make it tricky for swimmers. You can take a short hike to Race Point Light from here or, if you have a four-wheel-drive vehicle, get a seasonal overland vehicle permit to drive along the beach from Race Point to High Head Beach in Truro. The beach has restrooms, lifeguards, and showers available during the summer season.
