Long Point Light Details

Perhaps the most remote spot on Cape Cod, Long Point Light marks the entrance to Provincetown Harbor. The 1875 lighthouse still operates, but the fishing village that once shared the site at the tip of Long Point is long gone, and the lighthouse is a challenging hike from Provincetown's North End, requiring a scramble across a half-mile-long breakwater and a mile of hiking on a sandbar. However, for $15 round-trip you can take one of Flyer's Boat Rentals' water shuttles to Long Point. The 10-minute ride provides a lovely view of the harbor, and the pontoon boat pulls right up onto shore, so you won't even get your feet wet. If you want to take the shuttle out and walk back, it's just $10.
