Grist Mill is a unique and historical acquisition of the Kennebunk Land Trust. Back in colonial times, grist mills were extremely important to the smooth running of a settlement as most early homesteaders relied on their grains for storing and cooking the majority of their nutrition. The mill here today is used to give tours of the history of the area and to teach school kids and visitors of the early history of the town.
