As a beach on the mouth of the Kennebunk River and opening up into the port, the open water here is popular for those wishing to fish and boat or play in the waves. Though small at only 150 feet long, the quaint charm of Colony Beach shines while spending some time in the sound's sand enjoying a nice breeze, and watching the busy fishing boats coming and going with the tides and surf. If it seems like a nice day for a coastal stroll, not far away is a walking path known as Parson's Walk. Facilities: Trailered Boat Launch, Parking
