Kittery has very few areas of natural land left due to the popularity of development, but the Brave Boat Headwaters is part of one of the largest of such areas where visitors can still view the natural landscape of beautiful Kittery, Maine. Totaling 60 acres, the trails here are easy to follow and total only approximately a mile and a half. Teaming with a rich coastal ecology. Visitors can see first hand the multitude of wildlife that make these coastal woods, fields, and vernal pools their home. Butterflies, birds, and even endangered species, such as the Blanding's Turtle, thrive in these headwaters.
