Trail Type: Easy Distance: 4.6 miles This short, simple trail is one of Acadia's most popular family cycling trails, and offers a number of interconnecting trail options. Beginning at the carriage road gates near Duck Brook, the trail heads to the arching Duck Brook Bridge, taking a right at Post 5 and entering a pleasant downhill section before entering a small wetland that's home to a number of frequently spotted animal species. Another left at the nearby Post 2 leads the trail around Witch Hole Pond, while a right takes it to the Paradise Hill Loop, which offers great views of Frenchman Bay. The Paradise Hill Loop passes Post 1, and ascends to a pretty overlook before returning to Posts 3 and 2, and continuing around the pond and returning to the Duck Brook Bridge.
