Teens To Trails Details
A 501(c)(3) charitable nonprofit organization, T3 provides a variety of programs that promote high school Outing Clubs across the State of Maine. Outdoor experiences are critical to the healthy development of our youth, providing roots upon which to build their lives. It is the firm belief of Teens To Trails that teens live healthier, happier lives when they feel connected to the natural world. Outing Clubs are the most effective and efficient means for engaging teens in the outdoors and reaching teens statewide. Each program serves to increase the number of school communities offering Outing Club programs, making safe outdoor experiences available to teens throughout Maine. Through Outing Club Rendezvous events, a written start-up guide for new Clubs, and a Grants-to-Clubs Program to assist with transportation costs, safety training, and access to proper equipment, Teens To Trails will ensure that every Maine teen has the chance to get outside, feel safe, and grow. "T3" recognizes that there is no shortage of wonderful places for teens to explore in Maine. Along with T3 Partners, they are building a network of support for Outing Clubs that includes knowledgeable land managers, outdoor-oriented organizations and businesses, colleges, Maine-Registered Guides, and other enthusiasts - all well-versed in the outdoors. Through this network, T3 is linking teens to the many Maine people and places available to help them get outside safely. Teens To Trails will act as the umbrella for an association of Outing Club programs tied together for mutual support and strength.
