Sluiceway Details

Sluiceway is located near the Park's boundary. It is a popular, but difficult, trail that climbs the eastern side of Bernard Mountain to Little Notch and the summit. Following a fast-moving creek for most of its duration, the trail features a number of switchbacks; creek crossings; and steep, poorly graded areas that make the trail much more strenuous, but significantly shorter, than the Bernard Mountain Trail. Before the summit, the trail joins the Bernard Mountain Trail to access the beautiful vistas Bernard has to offer. Trailhead: Mill Field off of Western Mountain Road.
