Long Pond Trail Details
This trail, formally known as Great Pond Trail, runs gently alongside the western Long Pond shore for a couple of miles on a woodland footpath through birch groves and along large, flat rocks. The popular, but quiet pond, is home to herring gulls, small mouth bass, deer, beaver, and a number of other small animals. A junction with the Western Trail allows hikers to join a number of other trails or make a complete circuit around the pond. Trailhead: south end of Long Pond.
