Parkman Mountain Trail Details

Parkman Mountain Trail climbs rapidly through groves of softwood and over a series of granite knobs to the summit of Parkman Mountain, one of Acadia's popular open-summit peaks. The generally rocky trail crosses a number of old carriage roads and other trails during both the ascent and descent and is often combined with Bald and Gilmore Peaks as part of a multi-peak hike. Trailhead: Take Carriage Road to the right; at carriage road junction #13 turn left about .2 mile for trailhead.
