Hadlock Brook Trail Details
Hadlock Brook Trail is a little-traveled, picturesque trail over steep wooded slopes and rocky ledges with a number of brook crossings and rough footing. The trail passes the Waterfall Bridge before beginning the steep ascent. It skirts Upper Hadlock Pond's north marshes, but be prepared with bug repellant, as the marshes are known for vicious mosquitoes. Virtually identical to Maple Spring Trail, the trail ends near Sargent's summit. Combined, they make a great loop up and down the mountain. Trailhead: east side of Route 198; 2.7 miles from intersection with Route 233.
