Compass Harbor Trail Details
Acadia founder George Dorr's Old Farm property sits about a mile south of downtown Bar Harbor in a protected and isolated section of Acadia National Park. To reach the ruins of the old estate, you can take this trail through the forested property. The trail ends at Dorr Point, a granite outcropping with views of Compass Harbor and the Porcupine Islands in the distance. The ruins of the house are atop the hill, although only the foundation remains.
