Bubble Pond Details
This peaceful pond, which serves as a public reservoir, is nestled between Cadillac Mountain and Pemetic Mountain. The Native American word Pemetic means "sloping land," and from here it's easy to see how the mountain got its name. You can follow the carriage road along the pond's west side to enjoy the scenery from a variety of angles. If you're taking a boat onto the pond, be aware that afternoon breezes sweeping down the valley between the two mountains can make paddling more difficult.
