Sinkhole Trail Details
The Sinkhole Trail starts at a junction with the Heritage Trail and finishes one mile later at the Echo River Springs Trail, although you can hike it in the opposite direction, as well. From the Mammoth Cave Hotel parking lot, take the Heritage Trail; the Sinkhole Trail will be on your left. As you walk, you'll see intersections with the River Valley Trail and Whites Cave Trail. If you'd like to complete a loop hike from the parking lot, start on the Heritage Trail, hop onto the Sinkhole Trail, and follow almost the whole length of it before taking a left towards Whites Cave and another left at the Campground Trail to the Amphitheater Trail. Voila, you're back at your starting point!
