Mammoth Cave Campground Details

The Mammoth Cave Campground is ideally located for exploring most of the park's treasures, including Mammoth Cave, the Green River, and many of the park's trails. The park's visitor center is only a five minute walk away. There are 105 primitive sites in the campground, which has vault toilets and potable water in each loop of campsites. The campground is surrounded by trees, offering a block for wind and shade in the heat. There is a general store with laundry facilities, a ranger station, showers, and a parking area. There are no RV hookups; however, there are paved sites for trailers without electricity. Group camping areas are available. Reservations are encouraged, especially between May and September; to reserve, call 270-758-2424. Camping fees are $20 per night or $10 for Special Access, group site fees are $25 per site.
