Discovery Tour Details
This self-guided hike offers an easy way to access parts of the cave while learning about your surroundings. There is no need to make reservations for this tour, where you'll visit the Rotunda (one of the largest rooms in the cave) and the immense main passageway connecting the cave's many smaller rooms. Historic markers along the route teach you about the cave's mining history and geologic origins. This easy, 3/4-mile tour typically takes about 30 minutes to complete and costs $5 for adults, $3.50 for youth, and $2.50 for Special Access. All tours depart from the park visitor center.
