Bicycling Details

Bicycling is a great way to see the park, whether on paved roads or on one of the designated bike trails. All paved roads in the park are available for biking, as well as any non-paved administrative roads within the park. Mammoth Cave National Park also designates some trails for off-road bicycle use, and designs some of the trails specifically for this purpose, including the Big Hollow Trail (9.1 miles), The Railroad Bike and Hike Trail (9 miles), Maple Springs Trail (1 mile), and White Oak Trail (2.5 miles). Biking is prohibited on other trails in the park. If you are unsure about trail designation, check with park staff before riding. Also remember that bicyclists should yield to hikers and horses while on trail.
