Grassy Mountain Tower Trail Details

The tip of this 3,694-foot mountain is covered in trees (especially when you are in full summer bloom), which means it does not have the best view of the Cohutta Wilderness down below. But thankfully, you can climb to the top of the metal lookout tower if you want those jaw-dropping scenic views you have been dreaming of! Starting from the base of the mountain at Lake Conasauga, you will hike through hemlock trees and sprawling fern bushes until the path starts to make a steep incline. Sitting in the middle of a small clearing is the lookout tower, where you can enjoy a water break and snack before heading back down to the lake.
