Nine Mile Pond Canoe Trail Details
Nine Mile Pond Canoe Trail is a leisurely, marked five-mile loop for exploring the Everglades' aquatic environments. Scenery is lush and it's hard to get lost here, as PVC pipe markers make the trail highly visible. There is no beach or dry land on Nine Mile Pond, so if you bring food you will be eating it in your boat; be sure to use the bathroom before heading out, too. Note that low water levels between February and May can occasionally make the trail hard to travel, so be sure to check with park rangers before heading out. The entire trail takes about four or five hours to complete.
