Monument Lake Campground, located in Ochopee in Big Cypress National Preserve on the Tamiami Trail, offers restrooms, water, 10 tent sites, and 26 RV sites. RV sites are $28 per night, and tent are $24 per night. There are no electrical, sewer, or water hookups for RV sites, however. The campground is open by reservation from Aug. 15 to April 15, and the maximum stay is 10 days. The rest of the year, campers do not need a reservation, and can stay for a maximum of 14 days.
