HP Williams Roadside Park Details
HP Williams Roadside Park is located on the way to Everglades National Park in the Big Cypress National Preserve, at the intersection of US 41 and Highway 839. Named for Homer P. Williams, an engineer who worked on the construction of the Tamiami Trail in the 1920s, the park is a great place to picnic and enjoy some wildlife viewing. A short boardwalk overlooks a canal that's often populated by gators, turtles, and subtropical birds. Rangers talks are sometimes held here during the winter months. The rest area also has a vault toilet.
