Kid Friendly Options Details
Everglades National Park is incredibly kid-friendly, especially with the endless amount of wildlife you can see. Be sure to check out the exhibits in the visitor centers as well as the ranger programs, which are appropriate for all ages. Kids can also become a Junior Ranger: Three South Florida National Parks (Biscayne, Everglades, and Big Cypress) have joined together to create a booklet for kids looking to earn their Junior Ranger badge or patch. Kids can earn a badge by visiting one of the parks, and earn a patch from visiting all three. The booklet includes activities kids can do in the car, like puzzles, but also projects like bird counts, which are better to do outside while on the trails.
