Shoreline Snorkeling Details
If you'd rather don your mask and snorkel and get in the water right from the shoreline, you can do so at Biscayne National Park. Keep in mind, however, that areas close to shore are extremely shallow with seagrass and a muddy bottom. There is marine life within the seagrasses, but much of it is very small and takes time and patience to discover. If you do snorkel from the shoreline, borrow a dive flag from the visitor center to let boaters know you're in the water.
