Pacific Reef Light Details

Pacific Reef light stands alone and 10 miles southwest of Boca Chita Key. The current structure was put in place in 2000, after the 1921 tower was sent to Islamorada for display in Founders Park. In addition to warning ships away from the reef below, the Pacific Reef Light often hosts Brown Boobies and Brown Pelicans. Look up to see Frigate Birds, and scan the horizon for petrels and shearwaters. Pacific Reef Light is only accessible by boat.
