Arratoon Apcar Shipwreck Details
The _Arratoon Apcar_ was built in Scotland in 1861 and sank en route from Havana to Liverpool on Feb. 17, 1878. The 262-foot-long wreck's shallow grave in 10 to 20 feet of water near Fowey Rocks, with a coral-covered lower hull, iron beams, and a lively tropical fish population, is a terrific spot for snorkeling and SCUBA diving. The _Arratoon Apcar_ wreck is part of the Biscayne National Park Maritime Heritage Trail.
