Eldorado Canyon State Park Details
The golden sandstone walls of Eldorado Canyon is one of the most remarkable outdoor nooks in the entire state. This quaint outdoor community has South Boulder Creek running through it, providing beautiful creekside hiking and animal-watching experiences. Don't forget to look up to see rock climbers hanging off hundreds of technical, vertical rock faces. You can get more details at the visitor center near the start of the most popular hiking trailheads. Unfortunately, there is no camping allowed, and the park closes after sunset. But, picnics and fishing in the summertime, and cross-country skiing and snowshoeing in the winter makes "Eldo" one of the more picturesque and visitor-friendly canyons around.
