Plan Around Support
A good stop is not just something to read about. Once it belongs on the day, move into a saved trip and build the route around it.
Use this detail page to confirm that the stop is worth it, then carry that decision into a trip draft while the park context is still fresh.
Support Details
The Black Canyon Astronomical Society is a southwestern Colorado-based organization that aims to "stimulate the energy, public interest, and knowledge of astronomy." The group helps to preserve dark skies and provides information on the science, literature, philosophy, and art of astronomy to the public. The organization meets every month (save November and December) on a weekday nearest the full moon. The public is welcome to attend. Check out the [Black Canyon Astronomical Society website](http://www.blackcanyonastronomy.com/INDEX.HTM) for event details and more information on the society.
