South Rim Campground Details
In Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park there's only one campground open year-round: South Rim Campground. There are 88 sites at the campground, including sites for RVs (with and without electrical hookups). Campsites include picnic tables and fire grates, and water is available mid-May through mid-October (though there are no water hookups or dump stations for RVs). There are no showers and no flush toilets, so expect to rough it a little. If you need accessible sites, there are two, one on Loop A and the other on Loop B; bathrooms also are accessible. Campsites are $16 per night on loops A and C (or $8 with a senior or access pass). Loop B is more expensive, at $22 per night ($14 for senior or access passholders) plus $3 per night if reserved in advance. Reserve a site through [recreation.gov](https://chimani.co/bcgsrc). Rim Rock Nature Trail follows the canyon rim from Loop C to the South Rim Visitor Center, a trip of a mile each way.
