Slide Draw Route Details

By far the most dangerous inner-canyon descent from the North Rim, Slide Draw trail should only be attempted by well-prepared, experienced hikers. This trail, which descends from the parking area just east of Kneeling Camel View, requires a 30-foot climb of a nearly sheer wall before you even step foot onto the Draw. From the base of the trail, the river is only 0.75 miles away, and there are some good campsites scattered both up and downstream.
