Plan Around Pets
A good stop is not just something to read about. Once it belongs on the day, move into a saved trip and build the route around it.
Use this detail page to confirm that the stop is worth it, then carry that decision into a trip draft while the park context is still fresh.
Pets Details
At Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park, pets are allowed in certain areas like picnic spots, campgrounds, parking lots, roads open to vehicles, the Rim Rock Trail, and the North Rim Chasm View Nature Trail, provided they are on a leash no longer than 6 feet. Pets are not permitted on other trails, in the wilderness, or on ski trails. Owners must manage their pets responsibly and clean up after them. Leaving pets in cars or unattended is discouraged due to safety concerns.
