Chasm View Nature Trail Details
Located at the end of the North Rim Campground access loop, this short trail is one of Black Canyon's best kept secrets. The beginning of the trail is largely unremarkable, but you soon enter a fragrant stretch of pinyon and juniper that runs along the expanse of the North Rim. The trail quickly reaches Chasm View, perched 1,800 feet above the bottom of the canyon, and continues to the next gorgeous view of the towering Painted Wall and Serpent Point across the canyon. To put things in perspective, there are only 1,100 feet between the North and South Rims this point -- about half the depth of the canyon!
