Winter Activities Details

Yosemite offers no shortage of outdoor activities in the winter. Skiers, both alpine and nordic, and snowshoers can enjoy the vast network of winter trails throughout the park. Both the [Crane Flat area](https://www.nps.gov/yose/planyourvisit/upload/cflat-winter.pdf) and [Yosemite Ski and Snowboard Area](https://www.nps.gov/yose/planyourvisit/upload/badger-winter.pdf) offer a mixture of groomed and un-groomed trails for you to explore. Off of the Glacier Point Road, you can find toilets at Summit Meadow, Briidalveil Creek Trailhead, Sentinel Dome parking area, Glacier Point and Ostrander Lake. You can also stay at Ostrander Lake Ski Hut in a bunk for the night, but reservations are strongly suggested if you don't want to be stuck out in the cold. If you are in the Crane Flat Area, you can find toilets at Tuolumne Grove trailhead. The only other supplies in the area are at the Crane Flat gas station, but only a very limited selection for last minute items. If you do not fancy skiing, you can take a ride down the tubing run at Yosemite Ski and Snowboard Area or try your luck with ice-skating in Half Dome Village.
