From this point, you can look down on the beautiful, tranquil Poopenaut Valley. The Poopenaut Valley Trail provides quick access to the Valley and Tuolumne River, descending 1,229 feet below O'Shaughnessy Dam. If the dam is releasing water it will be challenging to cross the river, so plan accordingly. This is also one of the few locations in Yosemite to have poison ivy, so beware if you venture onto the trail. Roadside marker: H3
