You may want to take the free Wawona-Mariposa Grove Shuttle Bus from the Wawona Store or from the South Entrance parking area. Cars are not allowed beyond the Mariposa Grove parking lot, but there are several giant sequoias that can seen here. From the parking lot you can hike either the lower grove trail or the combined lower and upper grove trails. The trailhead for both trails is located at the far end of the parking lot. **NOTE**: The Mariposa Grove Road and the Mariposa Grove are temporarily closed and will reopen in September of 2017.
