Lower Yosemite Fall Trail Details
This is a pleasant, short, paved trail with little elevation gain that leads to the area around Yosemite Fall's final, 400-foot drop. This very popular way of seeing Yosemite Fall begins across from the Yosemite Lodge and ends with access to the rocky plunge pool at the fall's base. While iconic and quite picturesque, the pool is believed by the Ahwahneechee people of Yosemite to be inhabited by the spirits of witches, however, it's more commonly known as the home of Yosemite Creek.
