Cedar Grove Overlook Trail Details
Cedar Grove Overlook Trail switchbacks up through chaparral to a forested ridge and a rocky outcrop, but the reward is a great view up and down Kings Canyon. It's a five-mile out-and-back trail, beginning from the Hotel Creek Trailhead, where you'll climb through pine woods on the canyon floor. Along the Hotel Creek Trail there's a short side trail to the Cedar Grove Overlook. This part of the trail is mostly level, first descending slightly and then ascending. At its end, you'll be treated with sweeping view from high above Cedar Grove.
