Hiouchi Information Center Details
The Hiouchi Information Center is located at U.S. Highway 199 at Hiouchi, Calif., across the street from Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park. Hiouchi and Jedediah Smith are the northernmost of the park's information centers. The Hiouchi Information Center has information, exhibits, park films, parks passport stamps, ranger-led activities, Junior Ranger programs, restrooms, and a picnic area. The exhibits focus on coast redwoods, wildlife, and preservation history. There is a 12-minute film about the redwoods called _Trees of the Coast Redwood Forest_, as well as a self-guided walk with interpretive exhibits. The phone number is 707-458-3294. Hiouchi Information Center is open in the summer from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
