Volcano Adventure Camp Details
In an effort to get young people engaged in the National Parks, Lassen will soon open the Volcano Adventure Camp, a group camping facility for kids and teens. The Volcano Adventure Camp will take the place of the current Crags Campground and will consist of two group camping areas with tent cabins, a picnic/cooking pavilion, an amphitheater, and showers. School, educational, and scouting groups can use the campground to introduce kids to the park and encourage them to get outside. The facilities will improve accessibility for local at-risk youth by providing a low-cost and low-maintenance camping experience. The Volcano Adventure Camp is scheduled to open in the summer of 2016, just in time for Lassen's 100th anniversary.
