Jumbo Rock Campground Details
Open year-round, Jumbo Rocks Campground is nearest the north entrance of the park. The 124 sites are paved pads, and as the name would suggest, are nestled among huge boulders. Although there are spaces large enough to accommodate RVs up to 32 feet, most of the sites are meant for tent camping. Recreational opportunities include hiking, rock climbing, photography and stargazing. Open: All year Sites: 124 Elevation: 4,400 feet Reservations: No Cost: $15/night Services include: Pit toilets, picnic tables, BBQ grills and fire rings. Potable water is available at Indian Cove Ranger Station, Black Rock and Cottonwood campgrounds and the visitor center in Twentynine Palms. RVs must not exceed a maximum combined length of 25 feet. Site 124 here is accessible for mobility limited visitors. There are no electrical hookups or potable water onsite. Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m to 6:00 a.m, and generator use is permitted only from 7:00-9:00 a.m., 12:00 to 2:00 p.m., and 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
