Titus Canyon Narrows Trail Details
The easy Titus Canyon Narrows Trail takes you to the lower Titus Canyon via a gravel road in a dry desert wash. You can stop at the narrows -- less than 20 feet wide in some spots -- or continue on for another 6.5 miles if you want to see Klare Springs and the petroglyphs nearby. You may see bighorn sheep at the spring. Titus Canyon also can be accessed via Titus Canyon Road, with the Rhyolite and Leadfield ghost towns as a side trip. The trailhead is at the Titus Canyon Mouth parking area, which is at the end of a 3-mile, graded gravel spur off Scotty's Castle Road. This hike should only be attempted October-April.
