Ranger Led Programs Details
There are a variety of ranger-guided programs and tours throughout the park, running from fall through spring. House tours of Scotty's Castle are quite popular, and are the only way to see the inside of the main house. The 1-hour tour costs $15 for adults, and tickets can be purchased either day of or in advance at [recreation.gov](http://www.recreation.gov/) or by calling 1-877-444-6777. [Underground Tours](http://www.nps.gov/deva/learn/historyculture/underground-tour.htm) visit the basement beneath the castle and focus on the technology required for its construction. Ranger-guided hiking tours to Lower Vine Ranch, the cabin where Scotty actually lived, may be available seasonally. Use the website and phone number above to check availability. Rangers also lead a number of natural tours throughout the park, from exploring canyons to moonlight star walks. For a complete list of programs and opportunities to visit with a ranger, refer to the weekly Ranger Program Schedule available at visitor centers and posted throughout the park. Tours are free except for Scotty's Castle and Lower Vine tours, and some require advance registration.
